Declaring a certain Area added to the County of Waipukurau
to be included in a Riding to be known as the Purimu Riding
thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the fourth day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eleventh
day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen,
the boundaries of the Counties of Patangata and Waipukurau
were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the
County of Patangata and the inclusion of such area in the
County of Waipukurau:
And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the
County of Waipukurau should be included in a riding to be
known as the Purimu Riding of that county:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908,
do hereby declare that the areas included as aforesaid in the
County of Waipukurau shall, as on and from the third day
of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, be included
in a riding to be known as the Purimu Riding of the said
county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those
set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
PURIMU RIDING, WAIPUKURA U COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the Tangatupura Stream,
being the south-west corner of Block 87 in Block VII, Motu-
otaria Survey District; thence proceeding along the south-
west boundaries of that block and Block 86 to a point where
the production of the north boundaries of Lots 20 and 9,
Arlington Estate, intersect it; thence along the said pro-
duction and boundaries to the north-east corner of Lot 21;
thence along the south-east boundaries of the said Lot 21 and
Lots 23 and 27, and along the north-east boundary of Lot 26,
all in the Arlington Estate, to the Purimu Stream; thence up
that stream to the north-east corner of Block 34 in Block
XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence along the east
boundary of that block to the Turaekaitai Stream; thence
up that stream to its second intersection with the Wangai
Road; thence south-west along that road to a proposed new
road shown on deeds plan 636; thence along that road to its
south-east extremity; thence north-east along the south-east
boundary of Lot 3, deeds plan 636, to the north-east bound-
ary of the area of land shown on deeds plan 524; thence along
that boundary to the south-east boundary of Block 56 in
Block XIII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence south-west
along that boundary and along the south-east boundaries of
Block 60 and Wharawhara Native Block to the former Pata-
gata County boundary, as described in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 92, of the 1st November, 1906, page 2851; thence
west, north, and east generally along that boundary to the
Tangatupura Stream, being point of commencement.

Earl of Liverpool. Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this eighth day
of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and eighteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owner and mortgagee of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, and of the Waitomo County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said land is
situated proclaim as a road the land described in the
said Schedule.
ERRATUM.—In the notice of the appointment of Consul-General of Norway for Australia and New Zealand at
Melbourne, for “Sinn Koren” read “Finn Koren.”
