Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
ARAPAWANUI No. 2 Block: Approximate area, 3,838 acres 0 roods 36 perches; Moeangiangi Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fourth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Additional Land in Waikohu Survey District taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Gisborne Southwards) to take further land in Waikohu Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken: 1 rood 29·4 perches and 1 rood 27·6 perches.
Portion of Section 3, Block XI, Waikohu Survey District (Poverty Bay R.D.).
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42592, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the North Auckland Railway (branch line to Whangarei) to take further land in Whangarei Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:
And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of roads: And whereas such roads have been stopped, and it is desirable to declare the land contained therein to be Crown land:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to declare such land to be Crown land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and that such land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly.
