In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/573, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the North Auckland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions in that behalf of section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, the middle-line of a portion of the North Auckland Railway was defined by a Proclamation dated the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, of the twenty-fifth day of the same month: And whereas it has been found necessary in the construction of such railway to alter a portion of such line in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to the said Proclamation as defines the middle-line of the said railway between the points marked 111 miles 40 chains and 112 miles 40 chains shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 38984 referred to therein; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said railway, commencing at the said point marked 111 miles 40 chains, and terminating at 112 miles 40 chains, shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in E.R. 143, Block VII, Tangihua Survey District, marked 111 miles 40 chains on the line of railway defined by Proclamation dated the 23rd day of May, 1916, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, of the 25th day of the same month; proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., E.R. 143 and Section 39, Block VII, Tangihua Survey District; and terminating at a point marked 112 miles 40 chains in the said Section 39,
being identical with the point marked 112 miles 40 chains on the plan marked P.W.D. 38984 aforesaid: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43571, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the North Auckland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a further portion of the North Auckland Railway—namely, from McCarroll’s Gap to the left bank of the Wairoa River, in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District (hereinafter termed “the said railway”), is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1911: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the portion of the said railway described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the north-eastern boundary of Section 61, Block VII, Maungaru Survey District, marked 118 miles 30 chains, which point is also the point of termination of the railway described in a Proclamation dated the 31st day of May, 1915, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 70, of the 4th day of the following month, proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction for a distance of about 2 miles 55 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 12 Mariekura B Block, Mariekura Blocks A No. 2D, A No. 2C, A No. 2B, and A No. 2A No. 2, Section 4, O.L.C. 215, and Whakaihunui Block, all in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said Whakaihunui Block, on the Wairoa River, marked 121 miles 5 chains: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.
In the Land District of Auckland; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43572, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
