Closing a Road passing through Section 3, Block XVII,
Jacob’s River Hundred, Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the eighteenth day
of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen,
and published in the Gazette of the twenty-sixth day of that
month, a portion of Section 3, Block XVII, Jacob’s River
Hundred, was proclaimed as a road, in pursuance of section
eleven of the Land Act, 1908 :

And whereas it is desirable that the road described in the
Schedule hereto, which is not required, should be closed in
order that the same may be granted in exchange for the road
proclaimed as hereinbefore mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, do hereby,
with the consent of the Wallace County Council, being the
local authority in whose district the road is situated, pro-
claim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 8 acres 3 roods
19 perches.

Passing through Section 3, Block XVII, Jacob’s River Hun-
dred.

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/380 ;
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Sur-
vey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this twenty-
third day of February, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

GOD SAVE THE KING!

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by Way of Sale or
Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the
Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settle-
ment Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the
same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by
way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special
tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SUBURBAN LAND.

SECTION 5: Area, 3 acres 1 rood 19 perches; Suburbs of
Te Kauwhata.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
