I, Patrick Francis Peoples, of Christchurch, the Acting Secretary of the Boatman’s Consolidated Gold-mines (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare that this is a true and complete statement of the affairs of the said company on the 31st December, 1917; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

WAİKATO RIVER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR FURTHER SPECIAL LOAN OF £1,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikato River Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further special loan of one thousand pounds at five pounds five shillings per centum, and one-half per centum sinking fund, for a term of twenty-one years, authorized to be raised by the Maungatawhiri Subdivision of the Waikato River Board, by petition dated the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of further cleaning out, deepening or widening, and straightening or altering the watercourse of the Maungatawhiri Stream, the said Waikato River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny, A Class; three-farthings, B Class; a halfpenny, C Class, in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Maungatawhiri Subdivision of the Waikato River Board, comprising the Maungatawhiri Subdivision.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Dated at Mercer this twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £600.—TUHOE NO. 2.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of trimming and metalling the Tuhoе Extension Road from the Puhirua Road South to the end of the metal near the Awarua 3B 2E Block, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of a penny (1/3d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Tuhoе No. 2 Special Rating District, comprising the following subdivisions of the Awarua Block: 3B part 2B (100 acres), 3B 2C (453 acres 2 roods 0 perches), 3B part 2D (43 acres 2 roods 25 perches), 3B part 2E (29 acres), 3B 2F (29 acres), 3B part 2G (114 acres 1 rood 24 perches), 3B part 2G (23 acres 2 roods 16 perches), 3B 2H (169 acres 2 roods 10 perches), 3B 2I (84 acres 2 roods 16 perches), 3B 2J Section 1 (174 acres), 3B 2J Section 2 (200 acres 2 roods 20 perches), 3B 2J Section 3 (71 acres), and also Sections 6 to 10 inclusive, the whole being contained in Block VII, Hautapu Survey District, and more particularly shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered red.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Rangitikei County Council at a special meeting held on the 26th day of January, 1918.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rangitikei was hereunto affixed this 26th day of January, 1918, in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £1,000—OTAIHAPE VALLEY.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of deviating, forming, and culverting the Otaihape Valley Road from the end of the present formation at the west boundary of Section 69, Block XIV, Ohinewairua S.D., to Awarua 4C 15F No. 3 Block, and surveying, forming, gravelling, culverting, and bridging Baird’s Road from the Otaihape Valley Road to the Otaihape Stream, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property of Otaihape Valley Special Rating District, comprising Awarua 4C 15B (172 acres 3 roods), Awarua 4C 15C (61 acres 2 roods), Awarua 4C 15D (64 acres 2 roods), Awarua 4C 15F No. 4 (204 acres 0 roods), Awarua 4C 15E (274 acres 0 roods), Awarua 4C 15F No. 3 (140 acres 2 roods), Awarua 4C 15F No. 5 (270 acres 2 roods), in Blocks XIII and XIV, Ohinewairua S.D., and I and II, Hautapu S.D. ; also Section (P.E.R.) 15, Block I, Hautapu S.D. (384 acres), and the portion of the road reserve along the right bank of the Otaihape Stream extending from the west boundary of Section 69, Block XIV, Ohinewairua S.D., in an easterly direction for a distance of 15 chains, in Block XIV, Ohinewairua S.D. ; and as the said special rating area is shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers’ consent to the said loan, and thereon bordered red.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Rangitikei County Council at a special meeting held on the 26th day of January, 1918.
