Amendment to the Regulations under the Public Service Act, 1912.
IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor-General in Council, doth hereby amend clause 8E of the regulations under the said Act, as made on the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto. Such amendment shall have effect from and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATION 8E is hereby amended by adding the following provisos:—
Provided that during the months of November and December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, in cases where the Commissioner is satisfied that (owing to special circumstances) officers are required to perform extra duty, the following rates of payment for overtime shall apply to officers of the Professional and Clerical Divisions:—
| Officers receiving a salary of £165 per annum and under | Per Hour. s. d. | 1 6 |
| Officers receiving a salary of over £165 per annum and not exceeding £200 per annum | | 1 9 |
| Officers receiving a salary of £200 per annum and not exceeding £230 per annum | | 2 0 |
| Officers receiving a salary of £230 per annum and not exceeding £300 per annum | | 2 6 |
Overtime shall be calculated to the nearest quarter of an hour. Provided further that time worked in any day by officers of the Professional and Clerical Divisions in accordance with the above
