DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between JAMES JOHNSTONE and WILLIAM ALEXANDER SMITH, carrying on business at Gisborne as Tailors and Mercers, under the style or firm of “Johnstone and Smith,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 14th day of September, 1918. The tailoring business only formerly carried on by the late firm will from the said date be carried on by JAMES JOHNSTONE alone. All outstanding accounts owing to the late firm are to be paid to the said JAMES JOHNSTONE.

MAURICEVILLE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mauriceville County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Mauriceville County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of building a bridge over the Makakahi River at Kaiparoro, the said Mauriceville County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kaiparoro Bridge Special Rating Area, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, Block XIV, Tararua S.D.; part Section 33, Block X, Tararua S.D.; Section 172, part 2 of Section 171, Block XIII, Mangaone S.D.; Sections 5, 7, 9, part Section 8, parts of Sections 76 and 77, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.—thus including all that area in the Mauriceville County within the following boundaries: Beginning at south-west corner of Section 9, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence northward by western and northern boundaries of Block XIV, Tararua S.D., to north-east corner of Section 26 of said Block XIV; thence follow boundary-line between the Mauriceville and Eketahuna Counties to Kaiparoro Road; follow Kaiparoro Road to its junction with Mount Bruce Road; thence follow Mount Bruce Road to nearest corner of part 2 of Section 171, Block XIII, Mangaone S.D.; follow north-western, north, and south-eastern boundaries of part 2 of said Section 171 to Section 172, Block XIII, Mangaone S.D.; thence follow part of northern boundary of said Section 172 to its north-east corner; thence follow its eastern and southern boundaries to Mount Bruce Road; thence by Mount Bruce Road to northern corner of Section 8, Block XIV, Tararua S.D.; thence by eastern boundary of said Section 8 and eastern boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D., to northern boundary of Section 8, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence by northern and western boundaries of said Section 8 to road-line traversing said Section 8; thence to point in said road-line nearest to Section 76, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence by shortest straight line to north boundary of said Section 76 (thus including the small south-west corner of Section 8, about 5½ acres, more or less); follow northern boundary of said Section 76 eastward to the boundary of the Mauriceville County at the Ruamahanga River; thence westward by said county boundary to Reserve 17, Block IV, Mikimiki S.D.; thence by eastern, northern, and western boundaries of said Reserve 17 to said county boundary; thence by said county boundary to point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Mauriceville County Council held on 2nd day of November, 1918, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting held on the 30th November, 1918.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, by the Waitemata County Council, to execute certain public work—to wit, construction of a road through Allotments 2 (E.R.), 1, N.E. 19, S.W. 19, N.E. 20, S.W. 20, S.W. 32, 21, and Crown land, in the Parish of Mairetahi, situated in Block III, Waioneke Survey District, and Blocks I and IV, Kaipara Survey District; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plans of the said road and of the lands as required to be taken are deposited for public inspection at the office of the Waitemata County Council, 410 New Zealand Insurance Building, Auckland. And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or by the taking of such lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Council Office, Auckland.
