HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

JOHN GILBERT SCOTT

to be Registrar of Brands for the Marlborough Branding Registration District, in terms of the Stock Act, 1908, vice H. F. Brittain, transferred; the appointment to date from 1st December, 1918.

Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the New Zealand Staff Corps and Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the N.Z. Staff Corps and Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Major John Evelyn Duigan, D.S.O., p.s.c., N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Chief Infantry Instructor, Featherston Military Camp, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst so employed. Dated 30th October, 1918.

Major William Fleming, 4th (Otago) Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Officer in Charge, Sick and Wounded Soldiers’ Records, Otago Military District. Dated 30th November, 1918.

Lieutenant-Colonel Charles Edmund Russell, M.R.C.S., is appointed President of the C2 Re-examination Board, under the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 4th November, 1918.

Captain (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) James Alexander Macdonell, M.D., is appointed President of the C2 Re-examination Board, under the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 31st October, 1918.

The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board. Dated 4th November, 1918:—

Lieutenant Howard Edward Jackson, N.Z. Dental Corps, is appointed for duty at Featherston Camp, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 31st October, 1918.

Major Kenneth Macfarlane Gresson is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 2nd November, 1918.

Captain Eric William Cuddon to be Major, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 2nd November, 1918.

Lieutenant Roy Fitzroy Holderness is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 2nd November, 1918.

7TH (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) REGIMENT.

Captain Lancelot Craig to be Major. Dated 15th November, 1918.

Lieutenant James Taylor Watson to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 15th November, 1918.

N.Z. RIFLE BRIGADE.

Earl of Liverpool’s Own (Territorial).

2nd Lieutenant Arthur Clifton Adford Sexton is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 35e, N.Z.E.F. Regulations, 1916. Dated 12th September, 1918.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain Charles Edward Reading Bucknill, L.M., S.S.A., is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst employed in N.Z.E.F. training-camps. Dated 1st November, 1918.

Captain George William Gower, M.B., is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst employed as Orthopaedic Medical Officer in the N.Z. Military Forces. Dated 1st November, 1918.

Captain (temp.) Francis Ferdinand Aplin Ulrich, M.B., is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst employed as Orthopaedic Medical Officer in the N.Z. Military Forces. Dated 1st November, 1918.

Captain and Quartermaster H. J. C. Talbot, R.A.M.C., Retired List, is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst employed at Trentham Camp. Dated 19th November, 1918.
