Directing Sale of Railway Land under the Public Works Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighteenth day of November, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:

And whereas the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto has been, inter alia, taken for the purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway by a Proclamation dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, a copy whereof was duly deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch as No. 617:

And whereas the said piece of land is not now required for the purposes of the said Hurunui–Waitaki Railway, and the Minister of Railways has recommended that this Order in Council should be issued directing such parcel of land to be sold:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the said land.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 8 acres 2 roods 1 perch.

Portion of railway reserve (part of R.S. 145), Block X, Christchurch Survey District, Waimairi County. (S.O. 231v, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 24291, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Declaring Portions of Road in Block VIII, Pakiri Survey District, to be a Government Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road declared a Government road:—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through
3 1 25 Sections 92A, N.W. 77, and 80.
4 2 14 ,, N.W. 77, 80, and 78.

Situated in Arai Parish, Block VIII, Pakiri Survey District. (S.O. 20257.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45183, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Declaring Portion of Road in Block IV, Geraldine Survey District, to be a Government Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared to be a Government road: 1 rood 27 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Sections No. 7, 8, 9, and 10, situated in Block IV, Geraldine Survey District (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45188, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Mount Richmond Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Mount Richmond Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expires on the tenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

GEORGE HENRY KAY,
ANDREW STEVENSON THOMPSON,
TOM CORDEN PROBETT WHITELEY,
JOHN TODD,

as from the eleventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, to be the Mount Richmond Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at quarter past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council office, Otahuhu, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
