particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45136,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Land proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Block VII,
Lindhurst Hundred, Southland County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the
First Schedule hereto, and of the Southland County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said land is
situated, proclaim as a road the land in Lindhurst Hundred
described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby,
with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the
road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road:
7 acres 3 roods 19 perches.
Portion of Sections 2 and 6; coloured pink.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 4 acres
3 roods 39.8 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 1, 2, and 6; coloured
green.

All situated in Block VII, Lindhurst Hundred.
All in the Southland Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
45059, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Police-station Site, in Block
IV, Otara Survey District, Southland County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes
of a police-station site:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms
of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land
for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Pro-
clamation taking the land, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of
the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes of a police-station site;
and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the seventeenth day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 3 acres.
Portion of Section 6, Block IV, Otara Survey District.
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45120,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured pink.

Stopping a Government Road in Block XIII, Culverden
Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred
and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it
is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation
publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Govern-
ment road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the
Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of
a road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-
recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road
described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped:
2 acres 2 roods 25 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Reserve 3421, Block XIII,
Culverden Survey District.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44500,
