A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Land Board of the Wellington Land Dis-
trict has recommended that the Crown tenants of
the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded
relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which they
have no control preventing the profitable occupation of such
land :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land
enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the pro-
visions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land
Act, 1908; and I do further fix two years from the date
mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the
said land shall be exempt from payment of rates.

Lands set apart for State forest Purposes in the Westland Land
District.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the State Forests Act, 1908, and
of every other power and authority enabling me in that
behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the forest land
described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown
lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the
provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 630 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve
1462, Block IX, Kanieri Survey District, and bounded as
follows : Commencing at the most southerly corner of Section 1219, bounded towards the east generally by a road
reserve along the left bank of the Hokitika River, 24550
links, to Section 835; towards the south by the said Section 835, 120 links; towards the west by the Hokitika River
Road, 15950·2 links, to an angle distant 55·5 links from
traverse peg XXXV; and again towards the west by part
of Reserve 1462 aforesaid, 8459·5 links, to the most westerly
corner of Section 1219 aforesaid; thence towards the north-
east by the said Section 1219, 2056 links, to the point of
commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/77, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with
the consents of the owners of the land described in the First
Schedule hereto, and of the Otamatea County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said land is
situated, proclaim as a road the land in Matakohe Survey
District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also
do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as
closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
