of subsection one of section thirteen of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor-General by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the Newmarket Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution—viz., “That the Newmarket Borough Council declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the following streets within the Borough of Newmarket—viz., York Street, Osborne Street”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it refers to Osborne Street:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution to the extent hereinbefore mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that street known as Osborne Street, in the Auckland Land District, Borough of Newmarket, situated between Khyber Pass Road and Station Road. As the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44601, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of November, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, and clause (b) of subsection one of section thirteen of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor-General by Order in Council thinks fit to impose, and may refer to one or both sides of the road or street:
And whereas the Tuapeka County Council, the local authority having control of the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, hereinafter referred to as the said portion of road, has passed the following resolution—viz., “That the Tuapeka County Council, being the local authority having control of the portion of road described hereunder, declare that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said portion of road,—
“All that road in the Otago Land District, Tuapeka County, being part of the western side of Pallion Street, Town of Havelock, fronting Original Sections 15, 14, and 13, Block V, said town”:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it refers to the western side of the said portion of road:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution to the extent hereinbefore mentioned.

Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of November, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor-General in Council and notified in the Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively: And shall determine the division by which such sittings shall be held:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint and declare that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, and doth hereby determine that such sittings shall be held by the respective divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder:—
Monday, the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen: By the Second Division of the said Court.
Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen: By the First Division of the said Court.
Monday, the twenty-second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen: By the Second Division of the said Court.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of November, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
