Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Lieutenant Edward Talbot Rowllings, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, Narrow Neck Camp, with effect from 16th September, 1918.

The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board. Dated 20th September, 1918 :—
Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Mill, C.M.G., M.B. (N.Z.E.F.).
Captain (temp. Major) William Norman Abbott, M.C., M.B.
Captain (temp. Major) John McGhie, M.B.

The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of the C2 Re-examination Board, under the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916 :—

Sergeant-Instructor Clement James Blakey is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst holding the appointment of Officer in Charge, Sick and Wounded Records, Auckland Military District. Dated 23rd October, 1918.

1ST (CANTERBURY) REGIMENT.

Captain George Lyle Stevenson to be Major. Dated 18th October, 1918.

2ND (SOUTH CANTERBURY) REGIMENT.

Captain John Cecil Hill is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst holding the appointment of Provost Marshal to the Forces. Dated 23rd October, 1918.

3RD (AUCKLAND) REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY’S OWN).

Coast Defence Detachment.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) Harry Oakley, from the Unattached List (b), to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.). Dated 17th October, 1918.

7TH (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) REGIMENT.

Captain Robert McMurray, Reserve of Officers, ceases to be attached for duty. Dated 31st May, 1917.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

The following is substituted for the notice which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette No. 34, of 22nd February, 1917, relating to Major Louis E. Barnett :—
Major Louis E. Barnett, M.B., is retained on the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, without pay, as Consulting Surgeon, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst so acting. Dated 30th January, 1917.

Tom Larkin Paget, M.R.C.S. Eng., to be Captain (temp.). Dated 10th October, 1918.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.

Alexander McIntosh Colvin (Salvation Army), Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, resigns his commission. Dated 10th October, 1918.
