determined by the Governor-General without any notice
to the licensee or other proceeding whatsoever; and publi-
cation in the New Zealand Gazette of an Order in Council
containing such revocation shall be sufficient notice to the
licensee, and to all persons concerned or interested, that
this Order in Council, and the license, rights, and privileges
thereby granted and conferred, have been revoked and deter-
mined.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

For every vessel lying alongside the wharf:—
(a.) One halfpenny per ton per day or part of a day for
every ton register up to 100 tons.
(b.) Exceeding 100 tons, ½d. per ton per day or part of a
day for the first 100 tons, and ¼d. per ton per day
or part of a day for every ton over 100 tons.

For all goods (except such as are hereinafter provided for)
shipped, landed, stored, received, or delivered, at weight
or measurement, according to shipping usage:—

The space to be occupied in the goods-shed by any one owner
of goods shall not exceed 10 tons.

Goods may not be stored in the goods-shed for a longer period
than three weeks.

for Carriage by Sea because of Risk of Fire due to their
Nature or Condition, or the Manner in which they are packed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of October, 1918.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty-six of the Customs Act,
1913, as extended by section two of the Regulation
of Trade and Commerce Amendment Act, 1915, it is enacted
that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted,
prohibit the importation into New Zealand of any goods
the prohibition of the importation of which is in his opinion
necessary in the public interest:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is
necessary in the public interest that the importation of all
goods which are unsafe for carriage by sea because of risk of
fire due to their nature or condition, or the manner in which
they are packed, should be prohibited to the extent herein-
after provided:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers
and authorities conferred upon him by the aforesaid Acts,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit
the importation, save with the consent of the Minister of
Customs, of all goods which are unsafe for carriage by sea
because of risk of fire due to their nature or condition, or
the manner in which they are packed.

Nature or Condition, or the Manner in which they are packed.

that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order
in Council gazetted, prohibit the exportation of any goods
the prohibition of the exportation of which is in his opinion
necessary in the public interest:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it
is necessary in the public interest that the exportation of all
goods which are unsafe for carriage by sea because of risk
of fire due to their nature or condition, or the manner in
which they are packed, should be prohibited to the extent
and in the manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section
forty-seven of the Customs Act, 1913, and section twenty-
four of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby prohibit,
save with the consent of the Minister of Customs, the
exportation from the said Dominion of all goods which are
unsafe for carriage by sea because of risk of fire due to their
nature or condition, or the manner in which they are packed.

Prohibiting Net Fishing in Portion of the Otago Harbour.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth
day of October, 1918.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fifth day of
October, one thousand nine hundred and nine,
certain regulations were made prohibiting the taking of fish
by means of nets in the upper portion of the Otago Harbour:

And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said regulations,
and to substitute others in lieu thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon him by the fifth
section of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said regulations
of the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
nine, and doth hereby make the following regulations in lieu
thereof for the purpose of the said Act; and doth order that
the same shall come into force from and after the date thereof.

REGULATIONS.

(1.) No person shall haul or use any net for the purpose of
taking fish in that portion of the Otago Harbour on the upper
side of a straight line drawn from a post fixed at high-water
mark opposite the railway semaphore-pole, and immediately
north of Jack’s Point and Trig. Station E.E., opposite Sec-
tion 53, West Harbour District, to a point marked by a post
on the opposite side of the harbour at the north-east corner
of Section 4, Waverley, such line being shown by a red line
on plan marked M.D. 4979, and deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington.

(2.) Any person committing a breach of clause (1) of these
regulations is liable to a penalty of not less than £1 and not
exceeding £20.
