land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of roads; and I do also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth
day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General
may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown
land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of
the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land
set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

PARIHAKA No. 32 Block: Approximate area, 130 acres 0 roods
5 perches; Cape Survey District.

the Acclimatization Districts of Marlborough, North Canterbury, Ashburton, South Canterbury, Waimate, and Waitaki,
composed of the Counties of Sounds, Marlborough, Kaikoura,
Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley, Selwyn, Akaroa, Mount Herbert,
Ashburton, Geraldine, Levels, Mackenzie, Waimate, and
Waitaki, and the Boroughs and Town Districts situated
therein.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of October, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-first
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 78, of
the twenty-second day of the same month, regulations were
made for that part of the South Island of New Zealand
comprised within the Counties of Sounds, Marlborough,
Kaikoura, Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley, Selwyn, Akaroa, Mount
Herbert, Ashburton, Mackenzie, Geraldine, Levels, Waimate,
Waitaki, Vincent, Maniototo, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Peninsula, Taieri, Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, Lake, Southland,
Wallace, and Stewart Island, and the boroughs and town
districts situated therein (hereinafter called “the Southern
Acclimatization District”):
And whereas the said regulations were amended by Order
in Council dated the tenth day of September, one thousand
nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 124, of the twelfth day of the same month:
And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said regulations
of the tenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and eighteen, and to make other regulations in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority conferred upon him by section
eighty-three of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other
