Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Berwick Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of October, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Berwick Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

WILLIAM GRANT MACKAY,
HENRY STARBUCK GEORGE, and
ISAAC ROBINSON,

as from the eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, to be the Berwick Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the residence of Mr. W. G. Mackay, Berwick, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

BERWICK DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block IX, Town of Berwick. Bounded towards the north-east by Waipori Place, 270 links; towards the south-east generally by the Waipori River, 1000 links; towards the south-west generally by the said river, 1150 links; and towards the north-west generally by the said river, 800 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1073, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Declaring Portion of Manganui Road, in the Awakino County, to be a County Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the Manganui Road, in the Auckland Land District, Awakino County, commencing at the 12-mile peg opposite Section 1, Block I, Awakino North Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, adjoining or passing through the said Section 1, and Kinohaku West E Section 1G No. 2, Sections 7, 5, and part Kinohaku West E Block, Block X, Whareorino Survey District, and terminating at its junction with the Waikawau Road: being a distance of 4 miles 60 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44948, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of the Waioeka-Matawai Road, in the Opotiki County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1918.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

ALL that portion of road in the Auckland Land District, Opotiki County, known as the Waioeka–Matawai Road, commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of Section 5, Block I, Motu West Survey District, about forty-nine chains north-west from the boundary between the Counties of Waikohu and Opotiki, and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction, adjoining the said Section 5, and terminating at a point ninety-nine chains north-west from the boundary between the counties of Waikohu and Opotiki; being a distance of fifty chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44954, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
