Dates of Election of Members of the Wanganui Fire Board.

Wellington, 8th October, 1918.
PURSUANT to section 18 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, I, George Warren Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs, and the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Friday, the 18th day of October, 1918, to be the day for the holding of an election of three members of the Wanganui Fire Board by the contributing local authority; and I do further appoint Friday, the 18th day of October, 1918, to be the day for the holding of an election of three members of the said Wanganui Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies which for the time being are carrying on business within the said Wanganui Fire District.

Results of Elections of Members of the Palmerston North, Feilding, and Petone Fire Boards by Fire-insurance Companies.

THE following results of elections of members of the Feilding, Palmerston North, and Petone Fire Boards by fire-insurance companies have been reported to the Minister of Internal Affairs, and are notified in accordance with the rules made under the Fire Brigades Act, 1908.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Hungahunga Drainage District, Counties of Piako and Matamata.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Hungahunga Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE INCLUDED IN HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west by the north-western boundaries of Sections 13, 12, and 11, Block XVI, Waitoa Survey District, to the western side of Ngutumonga Road; again towards the east by that road to its junction with Taylor’s Road; again towards the north-west by the middle of Taylor’s Road to its junction with Mikkelsen’s Road; thence towards the east generally by the middle of that road to a point in line with the westernmost corner of Section 17, Block XI aforesaid; thence by a right line to the westernmost corner of Section 17; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of that section; thence to and by the middle of a public road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 3, Block I, Wairere Survey District; thence to and by the western boundary of Section 3, across Steel’s Road, and the western boundary of Section 7 to School Road; thence towards the south by School Road to the eastern boundary of Hungahunga Drainage District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1918, page 151; thence towards the west generally by the Hungahunga Drainage District to the place of commencement.

IT is hereby notified that a petition, signed by a majority of the ratepayers in the area proposed to be included, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Elstow Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge, within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE ADDED TO THE ELSTOW DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the north-western boundaries of Makumaku 3B, 5E, 5F, the western boundary of Section 6, Block VII, Waihou Survey District, to the Hauraki Drainage District, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1916, page 3347; thence by the Hauraki Drainage District to the western boundary of Te Arawhakapekapeka Block; thence towards the east generally by that boundary, part of the northern and south-western boundary of Section 2, Block VII, Waitoa Survey District, to a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section 7; thence to and by the eastern side of that road to the northern boundary of Te Awaiti 2c No. 4 Block; thence by the northern and south-eastern boundaries of that block, the drain reserve forming the south-western boundaries of Sections 29, 30, and 32, Block XI, Waihou Survey District, and Sections 1 and 3, Block XV, to a point in line with the southernmost corner of Section 3 aforesaid; thence to and by the south-eastern boundary of Section 3, the abutment of a road, the south-eastern boundary of Section 7, the western boundary of Waihou West No. 4 Block, the south-eastern boundary of Te Awaiti 1J 2B 1B Block to the road forming the western boundary of Te Awaiti 1J 2B 2 (eastern portion); thence by the western side of that road, across a public road to and by the western boundary of Te Awaiti No. 1B 2B 1 Block to its southernmost corner; thence by a right line to the westernmost corner of Te Awaiti 1H 2B Block; thence by the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that block to the Thames River; thence by that river to the north-western side of a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Te Awaiti 1H 2D Block; thence by that road to the south-eastern boundary of Te Awaiti No. 1E 2 Block; thence by that boundary to the southernmost corner of 1E 2 Block aforesaid; thence towards the west generally by the south-western boundaries of Te Awaiti No. 1E 2 and 1E 1, part of the north-western boundary of 1E 1 aforesaid, and again by the south-western boundary of 1E 1 Block, the south-western boundaries of Te Awaiti 1H Block to the westernmost corner of No. 1H 2A 3 Block; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner of Te Awaiti 1B Block; thence by the south-western boundaries of Te Awaiti 1B and 1J Blocks to the westernmost corner of Section 2 of 1J Block; thence by the north-western boundary of Section 2 aforesaid to its northernmost corner; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner of Te Awaiti 1D Block; thence by the south-western and north-western boundaries of 1D Block aforesaid to the south-western boundary of Te Awaiti No. 2C Block; thence by the south-western boundary of 2C Block aforesaid to the Te Awaiti Stream; thence by that stream to the place of commencement.
