ELSTOW DRAINAGE BOARD.

ELSTOW No. 2 SPECIAL RATING AREA.—SPECIAL LOAN OF
£5,000.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL INTEREST RATES.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
the Elstow Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest on a special loan of £5,000,
authorized to be raised by the Elstow Drainage Board, under
the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for widening, deepening,
and improving present watercourses and drains, and constructing new watercourses and drains, and contingencies and engineering charges in connection therewith, within the
Elstow No. 2 Special Rating Area of the Elstow Drainage District, the Elstow Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of the lands in the said Elstow No. 2 Special
Rating Area, of one penny farthing in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property in Class “A,”
one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property in Class “B,” and three farthings in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property in Class “C,” all of which classes and the lands therein, together with their rateable values as appearing on the valuation roll of the district, are set out in the classification list of the Elstow No. 2 Special Rating Area; and that such special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of September and the first day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

All that area comprising the Elstow Drainage District as published in the New Zealand Gazette under date 29th March,
1917, page 1120.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of PLANT-KOA PROPRIETARY (LIMITED), in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of Messrs. Clarke and Menzies, Harcourt's Buildings, 197 Lam-ton Quay, Wellington, on Monday, 21st October, 1918, at noon, for the purpose of having the account of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

BOROUGH OF LOWER HUTT.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt Borough Council proposes to acquire, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, twelve decimal two (12.2) perches of land, being part of Subdivision 2 of Section 20, Hutt District, for the purpose of widening Victoria Street in the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that a plan of the said land has been deposited at the office of the Council, Town Hall, Buildings, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection.

All persons having any objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said land are requested to send in such objection in writing within forty days from the 28th day of September, 1918, to the Town Clerk.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waikohu County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation of a road; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situated at Te Karaka, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Te Karaka.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land, containing approximately 13·9 perches, being portion of Puhatikotiko 18 2D X Block, situated in Block IV, Waikohu S.D.; as more particularly delineated on plan No. 890 brown, and thereon coloured pink.

UPPER HUTT TOWNSHIP LAND COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the above-named company held at Wellington on the 26th day of August, 1918, the following special resolution was passed by the requisite majority of members, and at a subsequent general meeting held at Wellington on the 12th day of September, 1918, the said resolution was duly confirmed by the requisite majority of members, namely:

“That the said company be voluntarily wound up.”

And notice is further given that JOHN BECK FINLAY, of Willis Street, in the City of Wellington, has been appointed Liquidator of the company.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, WILLIAM TAYLOR and MALCOLM McKENZIE, carrying on business as Tailors at Alfred Street in the Town of Blenheim, under the style or firm “Taylor and McKenzie,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 21st day of September, 1918.
