LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICES.

EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of certificate of title, Vol. 55, folio 47, comprising Lots 2 and 3,
deposited plan No. 1912, of part of Subdivision E, Hertaunga Block, containing 2 roods, more or less, whereof HERBERT HUMPHRIES, of Napier, Solicitor, THOMAS SINCLAIR ROULSTON, of Hastings, Managing Law Clerk, and WILLIAM DOUGLAS (now deceased) are the registered proprietors, and application having been made to me for the issue of a provisional certificate of title for the said land, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue such provisional certificate of title at the expiration of fourteen days from the 3rd day of October, 1918.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of six hundred pounds (£600), authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Motumaoho Station Road in the Morrinsville Riding of the said county, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Motumaoho Station Road Special Rating Area, being bounded as follows :—

Commencing at the southernmost point of Section Lot 2–3, deposited plan 7860, part Norfolk Downs Estate, Block IX, Maungakawa Survey District, following the boundary of this section in a north-westerly direction for a distance of about 130 chains to a point where Lot 1 of 8, Norfolk Downs, is on the county boundary; thence following the county boundary in a northerly direction for about 200 chains to where it crosses the railway-line; thence following the northern boundary of Kohatu-Papanui for a distance of about 200 chains to the south-west corner of Section parts Lots 1–2, Motumaoho Nos. 1/2, then in a northerly direction for about 60 chains to the north-west corner of the same section ; thence in an easterly direction for about 110 chains to the north-east corner of Section part Motumaoho No. 2 (deposited plan 4868A); thence due south to a point where this section touches the railway-line, a distance of about 65 chains ; thence east crossing the Waitakaruru Stream to the north-west corner of Section Lot 12, Kuranui ; thence due south for a distance of about 100 chains to the southern-most point in the same section ; thence due east for about 40 chains to the most westerly point of Lot 11, Kuranui, following the south-east boundary of Section 11 for a distance of about 100 chains to its most southerly point ; thence following the boundary of 7–8, Kuranui, for about 70 chains in a south-easterly direction to its most easterly point ; thence following the southern boundary of the said Section 7–8, Kuranui, Lot 1, Norfolk Downs Estate, and Lots 2–3 of the same estate to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-habitants of the County of Piako was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Piako County Council, in the presence of—
