Special Order made by the Akaroa County Council altering Boundaries of Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Akaroa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 10 of the Road Boards Act, 1908, the Akaroa County Council, on the joint application of the Pigeon Bay and Okain’s Bay Road Boards, resolves by way of special order as follows:—

  1. On and after the 31st day of March, 1919, the Okain’s Bay Road District shall be altered by including therein the land described in the First Schedule hereto.

  2. The boundaries of the Okain’s Bay Road District as so altered shall be as described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The boundaries of the Pigeon Bay Road District as so altered shall be as described in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing at a point on high-water mark of Decanter Bay in line with the north-western boundary of Section 5712, and bounded towards the north generally by the sea; towards the south-east by Okain’s Bay Road District to Section 26578; thence towards the west generally by that section and Section 35064 to the north-east corner of the latter section; thence by a right line to the south-east corner of Section 22614; thence by the eastern boundary of that section and its production to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 22611; thence by that road to Section 32930; thence towards the north-east by that section to the northern corner of Section 16296; thence towards the north-west generally by the north-western boundary of Lot 4 on deposited plan 2862 to the road forming part of that boundary, and by the north-western side of that road, and again by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 4, and by the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 3 on the said plan to Section 32930; thence by that section and Section 22875, and by the road forming the northern boundary of Section 5712, to the point of commencement on Decanter Bay.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing at a point on the coast-line of Decanter Bay in line with the northern boundary of Section 5712, and bounded towards the north-east generally by the sea; towards the south-east by Le Bon’s Bay Road District; towards the south-west by the Summit Road to its junction with the Little Akaroa Road; towards the west generally by the road intersecting Sections 20444, 22077, 22476, 22321, 22557, 23539, 32162, 25380, 24655, 24556, 24746, and 26578, and bounding Section 23617 to Section 23637; thence by that section and Section 35064 to Section 34748; thence by a right line to the south-east corner of Section 22614; thence by the eastern boundary of that section and its production to the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 22611; thence by that road to Section 32930; towards the north-east by that section to the northern corner of Section 16296; towards the north-west generally by the north-western boundary of Lot 4 on deposited plan 2862 to the road forming part of that boundary, and by the north-western side of that road, and again by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 4, and by the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 3 on the said plan to Section 32930; thence by that section and Section 22875, and by the road forming the northern boundary of Section 5712, to the point of commencement on Decanter Bay.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District commencing at a point on the coast-line at the head of Big Bay, and bounded towards the north generally by the sea; towards the south-east generally by the Okain’s Bay Road District to the junction of the Little Akaroa Road with the Summit Road; towards the south and south-west by the latter road; and towards the west generally by the Mount Herbert County to the point of commencement at Big Bay.

Certified as sufficient for identification of boundaries.—

The resolution to make this special order was passed by the Akaroa County Council at a special meeting of the Council held on the 27th day of July, 1918, and was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held on the 31st day of August, 1918.

The common seal of the Corporation of the County of Akaroa was hereunto affixed by order of the Akaroa County Council, and in accordance with the special order of the Council so made as aforesaid, this 31st day of August, 1918.

Special Order made by the Taranaki County Council merging Waitara West Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Taranaki County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

Special Order merging the Waitara West Road District and abolishing the Board thereof.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Council of the County of Taranaki, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Waitara West Road District possessing in the aggregate not less than half the rateable value therein, resolves by way of special order that on and after the 30th day of September, 1918, the aforesaid road district shall be merged into the County of Taranaki, and the Board thereof abolished.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taranaki was affixed hereto by the Chairman, John Connett, duly authorized by resolution of the Council passed on the 2nd day of September, 1918.
