Opening Education Reserve in Southland Land District for
Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur Wil-
liam de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the
education reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall
be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of
thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive
periods of thirty-three years, on Wednesday, the twenty-
third day of October, one thousand nine hundred and
eighteen, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule;
and I do also declare that the said reserve shall be leased
under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.


SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND COUNTY—WAKAIA
SURVEY DISTRICT.

Education Endowment Reserve.—First-class Land.

SECTION 4, Block VII: Area, 297 acres 1 rood 27 perches;
capital value, £3,570; half-yearly rent, £71 8s.

Weighted with £248 10s., valuation for buildings and
fencing.

Level land, all under cultivation; suitable for general
farming or dairying. Situated eight miles from Waikaka by
good level gravelled road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this tenth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighteen.

Trustees for the Mangapai Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act,
1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint

JOHN GRAHAM and
ROBERT WILFORD GUNSON

to be trustees, in the place of Samuel Graham and Samuel
George Gunson, who have resigned, to provide for the main-
tenance and care of the Mangapai Public Cemetery, in
conjunction with William McAllister, George Gunson,
Francis Sloane, Frank Hilford, William George Hill,
William Thomas Weir, George McCullough, and Thomas
Henry Jones, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this third day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighteen.

Trustee for the Omaka Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act,
1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint

WILLIAM JAMES GIRLING

to be a trustee, in the place of the Ven. Archdeacon Thomas
Samuel Grace, deceased, to provide for the maintenance
and care of the Omaka Public Cemetery, in conjunction
with George Houldsworth, John Brown, James Hay, and
Charles William Parker, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this tenth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighteen.

do hereby appoint

JOHN CRANSWICK

to be a trustee, in the place of John McCaw, to provide for
the maintenance and care of the Matamata Public Ceme-
tery, in conjunction with John William Simpson, Joseph
Pohlen, Robert Thomson Abbot, and Joseph Price, pre-
viously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this tenth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighteen.

Trustees for the Leigh Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by section four of the Cemeteries Act,
1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby revoke a certain Warrant dated the eleventh day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight,
appointing trustees for the Leigh Public Cemetery, and do
hereby appoint

CHARLES JOHN WYATT,
ALEXANDER MATHESON,
DUNCAN WILLIAM KNAGGS,
ALEXANDER JOHN HASKELL, and
CHARLES SEPTIMUS CLARK

to be trustees to have the maintenance and care of the Leigh
Public Cemetery described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

LEIGH PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Lot 77,
Village of Leigh, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods
15 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east
and south-east generally by high-water mark of the sea;
towards the south-west by a public road, 395·5 links; and
towards the north-west by Lot 76 of the aforesaid Village of
Leigh, 455 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is delineated on plan marked 2/360, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No.
4288.)

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this tenth day of September, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighteen.

section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I,

hereby appoint

LEONARD JOHN HENRY,
RICHARD JACKMAN, and
JOHN CHARLS WEBB

to be Inspectors under the said Act in respect to the scenic
reserve described in the Schedule hereto.
