Extending Time for holding General Election of Members of the Waipu River Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-seven of the River Boards Act, 1908, it is provided that on the second Tuesday in January, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and on the same day in each succeeding third year thereafter, the ratepayers of the district shall elect the required number of persons to be members of the Board of such district: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding the triennial election in the Waipu River District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section forty-two of the River Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the general election of members of the Board of the Waipu River District; and doth hereby order and declare that in the aforesaid river district the said general election shall be held and take place on Saturday, the ninth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Transhipment in the United Kingdom of Goods from Allied or Neutral Countries.

IT is hereby notified for public information that where goods to be imported from allied or neutral countries have to be transhipped in the United Kingdom importers should, to avoid disappointment, get their agents there to consult the Imperial Licensing Authorities before making any arrangements for transhipment.
