revoke the said Order in Council of the nineteenth day of June one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and doth hereby modify the tariff in its application to goods imported into the Cook Islands aforesaid by declaring and directing as follows :—
-
That there shall be payable on all black twist tobacco of which the genuine invoice value at the time of importation is proved to the satisfaction of the Collector of Customs not to exceed two shillings and fourpence per pound, the following, that is to say,—
(a.) When imported into or entered for home consumption in the Cook Islands (exclusive of the Island of Niue), a duty of one shilling per pound ;
(b.) When imported into or entered for home consumption in the Island of Niue (being one of the Cook Islands), a duty of two shillings per pound :
Provided that a further duty of one shilling per pound shall be paid on the landing in the Island of Niue of any tobacco removed from other parts of the Cook Islands which has been admitted to entry at a duty of one shilling per pound.
- That this Order shall have effect on and after the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Trustee for the Raurimu Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
EDWIN THOMAS BEAVEN
to be a trustee, in the place of Benjamin Lenord Knight, who has resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Raurimu Public Cemetery, in conjunction with John McLennan, Frederick Rowland Lacon, William Croft, and John Connors, previously appointed.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Exchanging a Reserve for a Resting-place for Travelling Stock in Waikohu Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District, for other Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a notice of the intention to exchange the reserve set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock described in Part I of the Schedule hereto for the settlement land of equal value described in Part II of the said Schedule has been duly gazetted for four consecutive weeks, and also laid before Parliament in accordance with the provisions of section seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 : And whereas no resolution of either House of Parliament has been passed that such House does not assent to such exchange :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and section seventy-two of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, do hereby exchange the reserve set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock described in Part I of the Schedule hereto for the settlement land of equal value described in Part II of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PART I.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Section No. 13, Block XV, Waikohu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 7, Block XV aforesaid, and by Okahuatiu No. 1A Block, 757·6 links ; towards the east generally by a public road, 415·6, 185·6, 144·5, and 346·6 links respectively ; towards the south-west by Section 7 aforesaid, 1007·1 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19404, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
PART II.
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 20, Block XV, Waikohu Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 269 links ; towards the north-east by Section 23, Block XV aforesaid, 151·6 and 438·9 links ; towards the south-east by Crown lands, 176·5 links ; and towards the south-west by Crown lands, 502·9 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19404A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland and Wellington Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 7 perches, more or less, being Section 14, Block XVI, Maungamangero Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 575·7 and 407 links ; towards the east by Section 2, Block XVI aforesaid, 762·4 links ; towards the south by Section 3, Block XVI aforesaid, 910·4 links ; and towards the west by Crown land, 549 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/168, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 7439 (2).) For a site for a public school.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section 42, Block XI, Hastings Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 26, Block XI, aforesaid, 1061·9 links ; towards the north-east and south-east by Section 27, Block XI aforesaid, 678·5 and 1185·3 links respectively ; and towards the west generally by the Thames–Coromandel Road, 133·1, 339·1, and 227·2 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/58, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 14687.) For quarry purposes.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section 22, Block IV, Piako Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the Waitakaruru–Pipiroa Road, 692·15 links ; towards the north-east by a public road, 759·83 links ; towards the south-east by Section 13 of the said Block, 628·5 links ; and towards the south-west by Section 12 of Block IV aforesaid, 757·17 links : be all these linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 6/6/172, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan No. 19842.) For a site for a public school.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing approximately 12 acres, being Section 1, Block IV, Westmere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the
