AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.


EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING HELD ON THE 27TH DAY OF JULY, 1918.


IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Awakino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kiritehere Road Loan of £330, 1918, authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of diverting the Kiritehere Stream, and for doing other protective works to prevent damage by flood to the Kiritehere Road, and remetalling portions of the said road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kiritehere Special Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Awakino County Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Awakino County Council, in the presence of—

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of continuing the formation and widening of the Awaroa–Mahoe Road from the portion at present metalled towards the Mahoe Road, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Awaroa Special Rating Area No. 2, comprising all that portion of the Kawhia County included within the following boundaries,—

Commencing at a point on the Awaroa River due east of the north-eastern corner of Te Awaroa A No. 9; towards the west by the said river; towards the north and north-east generally by a line across a road, Te Awaroa B 4 Sec. 5, Crown land, Te Awaroa B 4 Sec. 6, and Section 4, Block XVI, Kawhia North S.D.; towards the south-east by Crown land and Hauturu West No. 1a; towards the north-east generally by the said Hauturu West No. 1a and Sec. 6, Block XVI; towards the south-east by Sec. 6, Block XIII, Pirongia S.D., Sec. 2, a line across a road, and Sec. 1, Block IV, Kawhia South S.D.; again towards the north-east generally by the said Sec. 1; towards the east generally by the Waitomo County to the north-eastern corner of Sec. 7, Block XII; towards the south by the said Sec. 7 to the westernmost corner thereof; towards the south generally by the Awakino County to a point on the south-western boundary-line of Sec. 2, Block XII, due east of the easternmost corner of Sec. 3, Block X, Kawhia South S.D.; towards the south-west by Sec. 5, Block XI, and Sec. 11, Block VII; towards the west by the said Sec. 11, Secs. 7 and 5, Block VII, 10, 8, 6, and 4, Block III, Kawhia South S.D., Hauturu West G No. 2 Sec. 1, and Awaroa A No. 3,

to the south-western corner of Awaroa A No. 8; towards the north by the said Awaroa A No. 8; thence crossing the Awaroa River to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above-written resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kawhia County Council held on the 27th day of July, 1918.

OHURA SALEYARDS COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held in the Public Hall, Ohura, on Saturday, the thirty-first day of August, 1918, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanations that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
