Approval of Fees for Licensing of Vehicles fixed by By-law.— Ohinemuri County Council.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 107 of the Counties Act, 1908, that so much of the by-law made by the Ohinemuri County Council on the 18th day of July, 1918, and sealed on the same day, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the Ohinemuri County funds for the licensing of vehicles plying for hire has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor-General.

Notifying Land in the Nelson Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Spittal Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from the 10th April, 1918.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 54 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section 44, Square 11, Block III, Takaka Survey District.

Exportation of Neatsfoot Oil.

Customs Department,
Wellington, 14th August, 1918.

IT is notified for general information that particulars obtained by the Government indicate that there is available for exportation a quantity of neatsfoot oil amounting to approximately 2,000 gallons.

Applications for permission to export such oil to British or Allied destinations will accordingly be considered if received by the Comptroller of Customs, Wellington, not later than the 31st instant.

Applications should, if possible, state the name of the exporting ship and of the proposed consignee.
