Altitude, 250 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Level to hilly land, all ploughable, about 20 acres fern, balance ordinary mixed forest. Clay soil of fair quality, on sandstone formation ; well watered by small streams. Distant about eight miles from Oruru by good metalled road.

Section W. 86 : Area, 28 acres 3 roods 11 perches ; upset price, £60.

Altitude, 450 ft. to 550 ft. above sea-level. Easy hilly country, covered with fern and manuka, except 6 acres of light mixed forest containing puriri and taraire, with moderate undergrowth of supplejack, kiekie, punga, nikau, &c. Clay soil, on sandstone formation ; watered by one small stream on north boundary. Distant about ten miles from Kaitaia, about eight miles of which is by formed and metalled road, balance unformed.

Franklin County.—Waipipi Parish.

Altitude, about 40 ft. above sea-level. Flat land, covered with gorse and manuka. Soil brown loam of good quality, on clay subsoil ; no water on section. Distant about two miles and a half from Waiuku by good metalled road.

Easy country, formerly in heavy forest, now cleared and grassed. Soil of good quality ; fairly well watered by spring. Distant about ten miles from Hangatiki Railway-station by formed and metalled dray-road.

Section S.W. 35 : Area, 26 acres 3 roods ; upset price, £30.

Altitude, 300 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level. Steep broken land, not ploughable, covered with light mixed forest and heavy scrub. Soil brown loam, on clay subsoil ; poorly watered. Distant about five miles from Ahuroa Railway-station, about two miles of which is by cart-road, balance fair track.

Rodney County.—Mangawai Parish.

Section 106A : Area, 71 acres 3 roods 26 perches ; upset price, £40.

Altitude, 100 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. About 3 acres level, about 50 acres undulating, balance broken, covered with manuka scrub, except a few acres of mixed forest, mostly manuka and a few kahikatea, small puriri, kauri rickers, kohekohe, punga, and nikau, with light undergrowth of ferns, &c. Soil fair loam on flat, poor clay elsewhere, on slate formation ; poorly watered by small gully, dry in summer. Distant about six miles from Mangawai by cart-road partly metalled.

Franklin County.—Pukekohe Parish.

Lot 124 of Section 1 : Area, 1 acre 0 roods 15 perches ; upset price, £220.

Section is overrun with furze and blackberry. Good chocolate-coloured soil ; no water. Elevated position, making a good site for a house ; fronts main road to Auckland, half a mile from Pukekohe Post-office. Section has also a frontage to a back street.
