PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that
FRANCIS HAMILTON STANHOPE,
being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Top Valley, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
As witness my hand this twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Amendment of the Regulations under the Public Service Act, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by the Public Service Act, 1912 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the Commissioner, with the approval of the Governor-General in Council, doth hereby amend clause two hundred and nine of the regulations under the said Act, as made on the seventh day of December, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto. Such amendment shall have effect on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.
REGULATION No. 209 is hereby amended by adding the following proviso to the first paragraph thereof: “Provided that an officer occupying such higher position, but not in fact performing the whole of the duties of such position, shall be entitled only to such allowance in addition to salary as shall be determined by the Commissioner.”
