SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped road declared Crown land: 15 acres 0 roods 2 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Runs 559, 560, and 542, situated in Ahuriri and Benmore Districts.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44278, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Blocks XII, Ngatapa, and IX, Waikohu Survey Districts, Waikohu County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a road in Blocks XII, Ngatapa, and IX, Waikohu Survey Districts:

And whereas the Waikohu County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43653, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

And whereas the Mangonui County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Revoking a Proclamation taking Land in Block III, Uawa Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School and for Road Access thereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation or Order in Council taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation or Order in Council or the making or gazetting thereof, the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation or Order in Council gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation or Order in Council either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that the land, being portion of Kopuatarakihi 2a 2b and 2c Blocks, Block III, Uawa Survey District, and taken for the purposes of a Native school and for road access thereto, by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, and dated the nineteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twelve (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, page 2281, of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, is no longer required for the purpose for which it was taken:

And whereas compensation in respect of the land taken by the said Proclamation has not been paid or awarded:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
