Declaring Road-lines through Land in Clifton Settlement, Otago Land District, to be closed.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of section eighty of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do by this notice hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the said Act.

Amending Regulations for the Military Forces of New Zealand re Enlistment into the Royal New Zealand Artillery.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, made on the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen; and I do hereby declare that such amendment shall take effect as from the date of publication thereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
SECTION IV.—APPOINTMENT, PROMOTION, RETIREMENT, RESIGNATION, AND TRANSFER.
Royal New Zealand Artillery.—Qualifications for Enrolment.
PARAGRAPH 141 is hereby amended by adding the following at the end of the paragraph:—
“The age-limit prescribed above may, in special cases, be relaxed in the interests of the service, as under:—
“(i.) Men specially recommended by the O.C. Regiment, R.N.Z.A., may be enrolled on their attaining the age of seventeen years and six months, but in such cases the applications must first be referred to the Adjutant-General for approval.
“(ii.) No relaxation of the physical standard will be allowed, and no candidates showing other than good physical development should be considered for enrolment.”
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, in the presence of—
