IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.
In the matter of HERBERT HAYNES AND COMPANY (LIMITED); and in the matter of the Companies Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District, dated the 18th day of December, 1917, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £200,000 to £84,430, and the minute (approved at the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above Act, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Dunedin on the 21st day of December, 1917.
The said minute is in the words and figures following:
“The capital of Herbert Haynes and Company (Limited) is £84,430, divided into 84,430 shares of £1 each, instead of the original capital of £200,000, divided into 200,000 shares of £1 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the full sum of 16s. per share has been and is to be deemed paid up on each of the said 84,430 shares of £1 each. The 100,000 ‘A’ shares and 15,570 preference shares are cancelled.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling roads in the Hamilton Riding of the Waipa County for the first time, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventh of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hamilton Riding of the Waipa County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waipa County Council duly constituted and held on the eleventh day of December, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling roads in the Mangapiko Riding of the Waipa County for the first time, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mangapiko Riding of the Waipa County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waipa County Council duly constituted and held on the eleventh day of December, 1917.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Coromandel County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a public wharf at Port Charles, the said Coromandel County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Port Charles Wharf Special Rating Area, being all that area situated in the Port Charles Riding of Coromandel County in Block II, Colville Survey District, Block II, Moehau S.D., and Blocks I and II, Harataunga S.D., bounded, commencing at the northernmost point of Section 8 of Block II, Colville S.D., on the sea-coast, towards the north by the northern boundary of said Section 8 to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Section 10 of said block; thence towards the south-west and north by said Section 10; thence towards the western and southern boundary of Section 7 of Block II, Moehau S.D.; thence towards the south-west by the western boundaries of Sections 6 and 15 of Block II, Moehau S.D.; thence towards the west and south-west by the western and south-western boundary of Section 16 of Block I, Harataunga S.D.; thence towards the south-west and south by the south-western boundary of Section 8 of Block I, Harataunga S.D.; thence towards the west by the western boundary of the Tangiaronui Block; thence generally towards the south by the southern boundary of said Tangiaronui Block; thence towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of said Tangiaronui Block and of Section 5 of Block II, Harataunga S.D., to the sea-coast; thence along the sea-coast to the commencing-point.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a duly constituted meeting of the Coromandel County Council held at Coromandel on Monday, the 17th day of September, 1917.

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP.
CAXTON PRINTING COMPANY (LIMITED), A PRIVATE COMPANY.
IT was resolved by way of special resolution, pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908 [section 220 (b)], that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that PATRICK LEITH RITCHIE, DAVID LAURIE HUTTON, and PETER McINTYRE, all of Dunedin, Printers, be and they are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.
