  1. It is the duty of an armourer not merely to carry out any particular repair to an arm for which it may have been sent to him, but to ensure that the arm is serviceable in every respect before it leaves his hands.

SECTION XVII.—NEW ZEALAND VETERINARY CORPS.

  1. The work of this corps will be carried out under two headings — (1) Veterinary Hospital; (2) Veterinary Mobile Section.
    (1.) A veterinary hospital will be established at all camps of a permanent formation where the number of animals upon the strength is 600 and over. The schedule covering their equipment will be Schedule No. 1 (Appendix 20).
    (2.) A Veterinary Mobile Section will attend all camps where 100 to 300 horses are in camp. The schedule for this will be No. 2 (Appendix 21).
    (3.) For camps having 300 to 600 horses two Veterinary Mobile Sections will attend, and act under the Senior Veterinary Officer.
    (4.) For camps having under 100 horses the Director of Veterinary Services will decide proportions of No. 2 Schedule required.
    (5.) Tools for farriers: See Appendices 22 and 23.
