Conferring on Heathcote County Council Powers of Borough Councils with respect to Lighting and the Supply of Electricity.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of June, 1917.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is enacted by the Lake Coleridge Water-power Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), that the Governor may by Order in Council confer on any local authority proposing to contract with His Majesty the King for the supply of electricity from the works established at Lake Coleridge by the Minister of Public Works such of the powers of Borough Councils with respect to lighting and the supply of electricity as he thinks fit, and with such restrictions, modifications, and conditions as he thinks fit, and thereupon that local authority shall have and may exercise the said powers accordingly pursuant to the tenor of the said Order in Council :

And whereas the Heathcote County Council proposes to contract as aforesaid with His Majesty the King, and it is expedient to confer upon the said County Council certain of the said powers of Borough Councils, subject to certain restrictions and conditions :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confer on the said Heathcote County Council all the powers exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections two hundred and seventy-seven and three hundred and twenty-nine of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, section thirty-three, and subsection one as regards paragraph (a), and subsection two of section forty-five of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and section five of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1915, subject to the restriction and condition that such powers shall be exercisable by the said Heathcote County Council only within the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote as existing on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Declaring Portion of Patoto Road, in the Waitomo County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of June, 1917.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the Patoto Road, in the Taranaki Land District, Waitomo County, commencing at its junction with the Mokauiti Road, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, adjoining or passing through Sections 6, 30, and 5, Block XI, Mapara Survey District, to a point in the said Section 5 about seven chains south of the boundary of Section 3, Block XI aforesaid; being a distance of 1 mile 10 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42352, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Kurapete Road, in the Whangamomona County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of June, 1917.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road in the Taranaki Land District, Whangamomona County, known as Kurapete Road, commencing at its junction with the Whangamomona Valley Road, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction, adjoining or passing through Section 2, Block XV, Mahoe Survey District, and terminating at its junction with the Taumata and Whakaihuwaka Roads; being a distance of 3 miles 53 chains, more or less. As the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42346, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, Town of Raurimu, known as Poro Street, commencing at its junction with the Taumarunui–Waiouru Road, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction fronting Sections 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, Block II, Town of Raurimu, and terminating at the boundary of Section 30, Block II aforesaid, and Section 2, Block III, Town of Raurimu; being a distance of fourteen chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42324, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
