Declaring Portion of Road in Block II, Mount Fyffe Survey District, to be a Government Road.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1917.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared a Government road: 2 acres 2 roods 32 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Sections 52 and 58, Block II, Mount Fyffe Survey District (Marlborough R.D.).

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42270, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hastwell Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1917.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain;

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Hastwell Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

JOHN McGOVERN,
JACOB JOHNSTONE,
WILLIAM NATION,
HENRY TILDESLEY, and
HANS JACOB ISAKSON

to be the Hastwell Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Mangamahoe Public School, Mangamahoe, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

HASTWELL DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Section 64, Block XIV, Mangaone Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Sections 62 and 63, towards the east by a public road, and towards the south and west by the Kopuaranga River. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1297, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

License authorizing the Picton Borough Council to erect Electric Lines within the Borough of Picton.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1917.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued by the Governor in Council under that Act:

And whereas the Picton Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”) desires to erect lines within the area of supply as defined in the Schedule hereto, and hereinafter called “the area of supply,” and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and hereinafter referred to as “the regulations,” hereby authorize the licensee to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes within the area of supply hereinafter described, such electric lines at present proposed to be erected being indicated by means of broken white lines on the blue print marked P.W.D. 41802, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

SCHEDULE.

  1. AREA OF SUPPLY.

THE area of supply comprises the Borough of Picton, as at present constituted.
