And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held an inquiry, and reported that the area described in the Schedule hereto should be included in the Borough of Onehunga:

And whereas it is expedient that the said area should be included in the said Borough of Onehunga:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in the Borough of Onehunga.

SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Mount Smart Road in line with the south-eastern side of Campbell Road, thence across the road to the southernmost corner of Lot 9, Hospital Reserve, part of Allotment 13, Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, and along the eastern side of Manukau Road to the north-western corner of Lot 1 of the said Hospital Reserve; thence along the north-western boundaries of Lots 1, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 42, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 42, across Turama Road, and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 22 and 21, Hospital Reserve aforesaid, to and across Campbell Road, and along the southern side of that road and its production to the south-western side of Mount Smart Road, the place of commencement.

Consenting to stopping Portion of a Road in Block VI, Takahue Survey District, Mangonui County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained:

And whereas the Mangonui County Council has applied for such consent in respect of the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Mangonui County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 4 acres 1 rood 10 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Tawhati A and B Blocks, Block VI, Takahue Survey District. (S.O. 19317.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41451, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, 1917.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf) whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:

And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the loans set out in column B therein: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the loans herein-after mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto; provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Council of the Borough of Newmarket

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, 1917.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf) whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council:
