said Proclamation as affects thirty perches (shown coloured
green on the plan marked W.R. 24567 (S.O. 1413), deposited
in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington), such
land being part of the land mentioned in the Schedule to the
said Proclamation.

Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native
Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that,
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the
authority of the said Act, the Governor may issue a Pro-
clamation that such land has become Crown land :

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of
the Crown under the authority of the said Act :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de
Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out
in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

Stopping a Government Road in Block III, Mangawai Survey
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred
and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it
is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation pub-
licly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government
road or any part thereof :

And whereas the Government road described in the
Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of
a road :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act,
and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described
in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped :
5 acres 1 rood 20 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 247 and 254, Block
III, Mangawai Survey District (S.O. 19467).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42028,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Additional Regulation under the Tramways Amendment
Act, 1910.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this seventh
day of May, 1917.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on
him by section five of the Tramways Amendment Act,
1910, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His
Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following
additional regulation for the purposes of paragraph (g) of
the said section five; and doth direct that the regulation
hereby made shall form part of and be read with the regu-
lations made under the said section five on the second day
of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date.


REGULATION.

  1. THE Schedule comprising the descriptions of tramway
    districts is hereby extended to include a district to be known
    as the New Plymouth Tramway District, comprising all that
    district in the Taranaki Land District being the Borough of
    New Plymouth, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of
    1st May, 1913, page 1514.
