Fixing the Maximum Price of Machine-dressed Seed-wheat.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this seventh day of May, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, it is enacted that at any time while His Majesty is at war with any foreign State the Governor may, by Order in Council gazetted, fix and determine the maximum price in New Zealand of any class of goods:

And whereas, pursuant to the said section, the Governor did, by Order in Council dated the fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, fix and determine the maximum price of wheat:

And whereas by clause five of the First Schedule to the said Order in Council it is provided that the said Order in Council shall not apply to a contract for the sale of seed-wheat, if such contract is made with the knowledge and approval of the Board of Trade:

And whereas it is now expedient to fix the maximum price of machine-dressed seed-wheat, and to modify the said Order in Council accordingly:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the authority conferred upon him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby fix and determine the maximum price in New Zealand of machine-dressed seed-wheat in accordance with the provisions of the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby modify the Order in Council of the fifth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
