GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

Tapapa Settlement is situated in the Matamata County, and is about two miles and a half from Hinuera Railway-station, where there is a store, post-office, and school. The roads in the district are good. The land is flat to undulating, the soil generally being of a dark loamy nature. The fences are principally good post-and-wire fences, and nearly all the sections are watered. With the exception of some waste land along the Okoroire, Mangaroa, and Waihou Rivers, nearly the whole of the area has been ploughed and mostly grassed. On Section 2s, 90 acres was in turnips last winter, and has not been grassed; on Section 6s, 30 acres is in similar condition; and on Section 8s, 25 acres has been in crop and is still fallow.

Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 7th May, 1917.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 25th June, 1917.

The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years, and a right to acquire the freehold.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 27th June, 1917, at 10.30 o'clock a.m.

The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

Streamlands Settlement, consisting of about 1,470 acres formerly the property of Mr. R. F. Perham, is situated about four miles from the Kaipara Flats Railway-station (sixty-two miles north of Auckland), and about an equal distance from Warkworth, by formed cart-roads. There is a school and post-office at Streamlands about two miles and a half distant. The settlement consists of about 900 acres of flat land, the balance being broken and undulating.
