Declaring Portion of Reid Road, in the Opotiki County, to be a County Road.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, 1917.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Reid Road, in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Opotiki County, commencing at its junction with the Motu-Opotiki Road, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction, adjoining or passing through Sections 27, 17, and part 18, Block II, Motu Survey District, and terminating at a point on the northern boundary of said Section 18; being a distance of twenty-five chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42091, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of Anderson Road, in the Wanganui County, to be a County Road.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Wanganui County, known as Anderson Road, commencing at its junction with the Wanganui to Raetihi Road at a point about thirteen chains from the northern boundary of Maraetaua 2B 3B Block, Block II, Mangawhero Survey District, thence proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction through the said Maraetaua 2B 3B Block to and along the eastern bank of the Mangawhero River, and terminating at and including Anderson's Bridge over the said Mangawhero River, being a distance of forty-one chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42158, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.

Declaring Ball Road, in the Patea County, to be a County Road.

As the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42132, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red and marked A B.

Licensing Henry Thomas Gillies to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore of Tamaki River, Hauraki Gulf, as a Site for a Boat-shed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, 1917.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, there being no Harbour Board empowered to grant the license hereinafter mentioned, Henry Thomas Gillies, of Hamilton (hereinafter called “the licensee”), has applied to the Governor in Council for a license, under the Harbours Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to occupy a part of the foreshore at Tamaki River, Hauraki Gulf, in order to erect thereon a boat-shed in accordance with plan marked M.D. 4759, and in the position shown on plan marked M.D. 4769, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation, and it is desirable that a license should be granted and issued to the licensee under the said Act for the purpose aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the purpose or object for which the said license is required by the licensee as aforesaid; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority, and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby license and permit the licensee to use and occupy that part of the foreshore on which the said boat-shed is to be erected, as shown on the aforesaid plan so deposited as aforesaid, for the purpose of maintaining the said structure thereon; such license to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

In these conditions the term “Minister” means the Minister of Marine as defined by the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, and includes any officer, person, or authority acting by or under the authority of such Minister.
