THAT, on and after the 3rd day of April, 1917, the total number of members of the New Plymouth Borough Council be eight (exclusive of the Mayor); and that, in pursuance of the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the whole Council shall go out of office on the above date, and there shall be a fresh election of Councillors.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 11th day of December, 1916, and confirmed as a special order at an ordinary meeting held on the 8th day of January, 1917.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.--ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION LOAN No. 3.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1916, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of sixty thousand pounds (£60,000) authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the further distribution and supply of electricity from the Government generating-station at Lake Coleridge, and the purchase and erection of all plant, materials, and things necessary and incidental thereto, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and seventy-five ten hundred and twenty-fourths (175/1024ths) of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Corporation of the City of Christchurch was hereto affixed in the presence of--

KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS AT A MEETING HELD ON THE 19TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1916, AT 10.30 A.M.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on the loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of paying the balance due by the Council on a levy made by the Taumarunui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board on the 9th day of June, 1916, for the purpose of the erection of the Nurses' Home, drying-room, and the purchase of a range therefor, the purchase of a hospital-site, and all things incidental thereto, the said Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one seventy-eighth (1/78th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kaitieke County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Kaitieke County Council on the 19th day of December, 1916.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.--OMAHINE - TE POI ROAD LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for road-metalling improvements, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny three-eighths in the pound (1½d. in the £1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Omahine - Te Poi Road Loan Special Area, which comprises all that area of the Patetere Riding in the Matamata County commencing at Te Weraiti Trig. on the county boundary, and at the north-eastern corner of the Patetere Riding; thence following the riding boundary in a westerly direction to the western corner of Section 4087, where the said section joins Section 4313 lb;
