Masterton, was taken on the 26th day of April, 1917, on
the proposal of the Masterton County Council to borrow the
sum of £1,100 for the construction of an additional reservoir
and filter-bed, cleaning out the existing pipe service in con-
nection with the Lansdowne high-pressure water-supply, and
to discharge the remaining liability, amounting to £265 10s. 7d.,
in respect of the original loan raised for the said supply.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 68, and
the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 8.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Prohibiting Money-orders and Postal Correspondence for

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zea-
land having reasonable ground for supposing that
the person whose name and address are shown in the
Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent business, it
is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Tele-
graph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said
person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed
to the said person (either by his own or by any fictitious or
assumed name), or addressed to the said address without a
name, shall be registered, forwarded, or delivered by the
Post Office of New Zealand.
