ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by Part I of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Amendment Act, 1908, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulations in force on the coming into operation of this Order relating to teachers’ superannuation, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations; and, with the like advice and consent, doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

REGULATIONS FOR TEACHERS’ SUPERANNUATION.
Definitions.
- IN these regulations any reference to “the Act” shall be taken to mean a reference to the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Amendment Act, 1908; and the “Secretary to the Board” shall mean the Secretary to the Teachers’ Superannuation Board appointed under section 10 of the said Act.
Payment of Contributions to the Fund.

The Secretary to every Education Board shall, within seven days after the end of each month, transmit to the Secretary to the Board a statement of all amounts deducted from the pay of contributors and paid to the Fund. Such statement may consist of a certified copy of the Board’s pay-list of salaries for the month.

The statement referred to in the preceding clause shall be accompanied by a certificate in the following form:—
Education Board of the District of [Name],
[Place]
[Date.]We hereby certify that to the best of our knowledge and belief the attached copy of the Board’s pay-list for the month of [State month] correctly shows opposite the name of each person the amount of salary paid to him in respect of his service for that month, and the amount deducted from his salary and paid to the Teachers’ Superannuation Fund.
……. Chairman [or Member] of Board.
……. Secretary to Board. -
In the case of any body, other than an Education Board, being the employer of a contributor, the Secretary (or Director) of the said body shall, within seven days after the end of each month, make and transmit to the Secretary to the Board a certificate in the following form, as to the amounts deducted from the pay of contributors and paid to the credit of the Fund, viz.:—
I, [Name and official designation], do hereby certify that the annexed statement, entitled “Return of Contributions to Superannuation Fund deducted from the Pay of Members for the Month of __, 19____, by the [Name of employing body],” is true and correct in every particular, and that the amount named as being the pay of each member is the actual sum payable to him in respect of his services, but does not include allowances or payment for overtime.

The statement referred to in the last preceding clause shall be in the following form:—
