Declaring a Native to be a European.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this seventeenth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, it is enacted that the Governor may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Native Land Court, declare any Native to be a European:
And whereas Te Rongokahira Parata, of Wellington, being a Native within the meaning of the Native Land Act, 1909, applied in the prescribed form for a recommendation of the Court that she might be declared a European; And whereas the said Court, having duly inquired into the said application, has recommended that an Order in Council be issued declaring the said Te Rongokahira Parata to be a European: And whereas it is expedient that such declaration should be made:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on him by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1912, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the said Te Rongokahira Parata to be a European.

Partial Revocation of Order in Council prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto, but only in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PART I.
ORDER in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 2nd September, 1916, and gazetted 7th September, 1916.
PART II.
Te Aroha, Block IX, Section 17A No. 2, containing 10 acres 3 roods 7 perches, situate in Block IX, Te Aroha Survey District, Auckland Land District.

Partial Revocation of an Order in Council under Section 296 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1917.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and ninety-six of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under Part XVI of that Act, or under Part II of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, may be at any time revoked, either wholly or as to any part or parts of the land included therein, by the Governor by Order in Council:
And whereas a parcel of land known as Nuhaka 2E 3C 14 became subject, by virtue of an Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, to the provisions of Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board has recommended that such land be no longer subject to Part XVI aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eight, in so far as such Order in Council affects Nuhaka 2E 3C 14.
