NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE LEVYING RATE FOR THE SECURITY OF LOAN OF £200.
Extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Northcote Borough Council at a special meeting of such Council held on the 10th April, 1917.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two hundred pounds (£200), authorized to be raised by the Northcote Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of assisting towards payment of the cost of the erection of a technical and manual training school to be built on the school grounds on the Onewa Road, Northcote, the said Northcote Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Northcote; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Northcote was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Northcote Borough Council in the presence of—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between WILLIAM JOHN MILLER and HORACE GRAHAM RUTTER, carrying on business as Land and Estate Agents at 35 Panama Street, Wellington, under the style or firm of “ Miller & Rutter,” has been dissolved as from the 14th day of April, 1917, by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said HORACE GRAHAM RUTTER, who will continue to carry on the said business on his own behalf, under the style or firm of “ H. G. Rutter & Co.,” at the same address.

CLUTHA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Clutha County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,000 (one thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Clutha County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for metalling and improvement of streets or roads within the Owaka Township Special-rating District, the said Clutha County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. (one halfpenny) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Owaka Township Special-rating District, comprising a portion of Catlins Riding in the County of Clutha, the boundaries of which district are as follows:—
Commencing at a point at the Owaka River at the north-western boundary-line of Section 5, Block VIII, Glenomaru S.D.; thence by the Owaka River (downstream) to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, Glenomaru S.D.; thence across a road-line and by the eastern boundary-line of the said Section 29 to its south-east corner; thence across a road-line; thence by the southern side of that road-line in a western direction to the north-east corner of Section 2; thence in a southern direction by the eastern side of 2, across a road-line, and by the eastern side of the road-line on the eastern side of part of the said Section 2, and in a westerly direction by the southern side of the road-line forming the southern boundary of Sections 2, 1, 3, 4; thence in a northerly direction by the western side of a road-line on the west side of Section 4 and part of Section 6 to the north-east corner of Section 10; thence in a westerly direction by the south side of a road-line between Sections 10 and 5 to the south-west corner of the said Section 5; thence by the western boundary-line of the said Section 5 to the Owaka River, the point of commencement: all in Block VIII, Glenomaru Survey District.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ (thirty-six and half) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Clutha County Council held on the 4th day of April, 1917.
