A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Waipu Road Board, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Waipu Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road :-

2 3 51, portion of Section 25; coloured red.

2 0 37-4 " 26 " blue.

1 3 34.8 " 26 " purple.

2 1 26-1 " 43 " yellow.

Situated in Waipu Parish, Block III, Waipu Survey District (S.O. 17249A).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35975 (sheet 2), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Post-office in Block XV, Ongo Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work-to wit, for the purposes of a post-office in Block XV, Ongo Survey District :

And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth :

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said post-office; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and and seventeen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood.

Portion of Section 18, Waituna West Township, Block XV, Ongo Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42016, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Proclaiming a Watercourse in the Land District of Nelson, together with its Tributaries, to be Watercourses for the Deposit of Tailings.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and twenty-six of the Mining Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed β€œthe said Act”), it is enacted that on application in that behalf the Governor may from time to time, by Proclamation, constitute and set apart the whole or any part of any watercourse to be a watercourse into which may be discharged any tailings, debris, and waste matter produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which, or on the banks of which, mining operations may be lawfully carried on :

And whereas application as aforesaid in respect of the watercourse described in the Schedule hereto was duly notified and gazetted, as provided by the said Act, on the date set out in the description of the watercourse in the said Schedule :

And whereas His Excellency the Governor has decided to exercise the powers conferred upon him by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby constitute and set apart the watercourses described in the Schedule hereto to be watercourses into which may be discharged any tailings, debris, and waste waters produced by or resulting from mining operations carried on under the said Act, and in which or on the banks of which mining operations may be lawfully carried on; and I do hereby further prescribe that this Proclamation shall take effect on and from the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

THAT part of the Buller River which flows north-westerly from where it debouches from Lake Rotoiti, for a distance of about fourteen miles, to its confluence with the River Hope; and also the several tributaries thereof. (Date of gazetting, 27th July, 1916.)
