2nd Lieutenant Robert Barron Witty is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 1st March, 1917. Dated 16th April, 1917.

Company Sergeant-major Joseph George Gasparich (New Zealand Expeditionary Force) to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 1st March, 1916.

2nd Lieutenant Joseph George Gasparich is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 1st March, 1916. Dated 15th April, 1917.

Sergeant E. R. Hudson (New Zealand Expeditionary Force) to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 26th August, 1916.

2nd Lieutenant E. R. Hudson is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 26th August, 1916. Dated 16th April, 1917.

Company Sergeant-major L. A. Morrison (New Zealand Expeditionary Force) to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 26th August, 1916.

2nd Lieutenant L. A. Morrison is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from the 26th August, 1916. Dated 16th April, 1917.

MEMORANDA.

Regimental Quartermaster-Sergeant Charles Frederick Bishop, New Zealand Army Service Corps, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst employed in charge of Supplies “K” Shed. Dated 21st March, 1917.

Thomas Trevanion Hugo, Esq., Inspector Dominion Fire Brigades, is appointed Honorary Fire Inspector to the Defence Department. Dated 22nd February, 1916.

Notifying Land in the Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Reynold’s Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 1st June, 1916.


SCHEDULE.

REYNOLD’S SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks XVI, Hamilton, and XIII, Cambridge Survey Districts, being part of Allotment 225, Parish of Pukekura, containing by admeasurement 1,512 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, and being the land contained in certificate of title registered in Vol. 253, folio 154, at the Land Registry Office at Auckland. As the same is delineated on the plan marked No. 21/14, deposited at the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks VIII and XII, Maungakawa Survey District, being Lots Nos. 1 to 12 both inclusive, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 8307, together with a strip of land intersecting the said lots, which said area is portion of the Kahutopanga, Pakarau, Matakirae, and Kerihone Blocks, and containing by admeasurement 2,607 acres 2 roods 3 perches, more or less, and being the land contained in certificate of title registered in Vol. 260, folio 50, at the aforesaid Land Registry Office. As the same is delineated on the plan marked No. 21/20, deposited at the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks IX, X, XIII, and XIV, Piako Survey District, being Allotments 115, 263, 264, 265, 264A, 264B, and 265A, Whangamarino Parish, and containing by admeasurement 612 acres 2 roods 19 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 1987, 1796, and 2138 links; towards the north-east by Allotments 260, 261, and 262 of Whangamarino Parish aforesaid, 7350 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 2315·5 links; again towards the north-east generally by the abutment of and again by the last-mentioned public road, and by Allotment 188A of the aforesaid parish, 103·5, 380, and 1512 links respectively; towards the south and south-west generally by the Waerenga Stream; towards the north-west by Allotments 62 and 115A, Whangamarino Parish aforesaid, 990 links; and towards the west generally by the last-mentioned allotment, 1150 and 100 links, and again by the Waerenga Stream aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked No. 21/25, deposited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in Blocks XIV and XV, Cambridge Survey District, being part of Lot 1B, a subdivision of Allotments 262, 263, 264, 265, part 261, Hautapu Parish, and part of Hinuwera No. 2 Block, on plan deposited at the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland numbered 3299, containing by admeasurement 974 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less. Bounded commencing at the north-east corner of a gravel-pit on plan deposited as above mentioned numbered 1504; towards the north-east generally by a public road, 1951·6, 5525·1, 260·5, 450·4, 548, 770·9, and 294·5 links, by a gravel-pit on plan deposited as aforesaid numbered 4865A, 891, 412·4, 267·8, 572·8, 254·8, and 130·3 links; again by the public road aforesaid, 504·1, 1805, 1594·1, and 639·5 links; towards the south-east by other part of Lot 1B on plan deposited as aforesaid numbered 3488, 9539 links; towards the south-west by the Waikato River; and towards the north-west generally by other part of Lot 1B on plan 3299 aforesaid, 106·8, 539·8, 513·8, 1150·4, 1241·5, 428·8, 546·5, and 1513 links, and by the gravel-pit on deposited plan 1504 aforesaid, 129·1 links; by the southern boundary of said gravel-pit (being a stream) and again by the said gravel-pit,
