Pastoral Runs in Canterbury Land District for License by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 20th March, 1917.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned pastoral runs will be offered for license by public auction, for a term of twenty-one years from 1st March, 1918, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Friday, 27th April, 1917, at 11 o’clock a.m.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CLASS A.
Amuri County.—Severn, Alma, and Percival Survey Districts.—North St. Helen’s Run.
Run 246: Area, 78,250 acres; upset annual rent, £500.
Weighted with £1,886, valuation for improvements consisting of 60 miles 15 chains of boundary and internal fencing valued at £1,811, a hut, and a bridge over the River Yarra.
Nearly all mountainous pastoral country, ranging from 2,700 ft. to 6,350 ft. Tussock and native grasses grow up to about 4,000 ft., above which is mostly bare rock and shingle. Well watered by numerous rivers and creeks. Accessible from Hanmer, about nine miles by dray-road.
Tawera County.—Hawdon, Esk, and Okuku Survey Districts.—Lochinvar Run.
Run 177: Area, 68,500 acres; upset annual rent, £600.
Weighted with £875, valuation for improvements comprising the cost of 1,210 chains of subdivisional fences and the half cost of 226 chains boundary fence between Mount White and Lochinvar, and two huts and sheep-yards.
There is some flat land to the east of Nigger Creek that would probably grow turnips and rape, and there are also some sunny faces fairly well grassed, remainder rough broken pastoral country, and barren mountain-tops. Altitude, 2,470 ft. to 6,100 ft. Well watered. About twenty-one miles from Cass Railway-station, fifteen miles by dray-road to Lake Letitia, and six miles to the run boundary by rough pack-horse track.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 11th day of April, 1917, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of section 2 of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1911.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the Public Hall, Owhango, on Friday, 13th April, 1917, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—KAITIEKE COUNTY.—KAITIEKE SURVEY DISTRICT.
Rural Land.
Section 16, Block IV: Area, 6 acres; upset price, £48.
Section 17, Block IV: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 6 perches; upset price, £43.
Section 18, Block IV: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 12 perches; upset price, £43.
Section 19, Block IV: Area, 6 acres 0 roods 7 perches; upset price, £49.

Situated immediately to the south of and adjoining Owhango Township, on Main Trunk Railway. These sections front the Owhango and Kawautahi Roads, and are level, with light soil of fair quality mixed with pumice on papa formation. The bush, which has been milled, comprises rimu, matai, tawhero, &c. Elevation about 1,490 ft. above sea-level. Suitable for building and grazing.
Suburban Land.—Suburbs of Raurimu.
Section 2: Area, 9 acres 0 roods 15 perches; upset price, £46.
Section 3: Area, 10 acres 0 roods 18 perches; upset price, £51.
These sections are situated about a mile and a half from Raurimu Railway-station, the access being by formed dray-road to about five chains from Section 3; the remainder is surveyed road only. Each section is hilly, and comprises about one acre under bush and the rest is fern. About one acre of Section 2 is flat. Soil on both lots is of good quality, on papa formation. Elevation nearly 2,000 ft. above sea-level. Suitable for building and grazing.
TERMS OF SALE.

Cash.—One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with Crown-grant fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.

Deferred Payments.—5 per cent. of the purchase-money and license fee (£1 1s.) on the fall of the hammer; balance by equal annual instalments extending over nineteen years, with interest payable half-yearly at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum on the unpaid purchase-money; but with the right to pay off at any time the whole or any part of the outstanding amount. In either case if the purchaser fails to make any of the prescribed payments by due date, whether of purchase-money or interest, the amount (if any) already paid shall be forfeited and the contract for the sale of the land be null and void.
Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1908.
