Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Poles.
Wellington, 14th March, 1917.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman, General Post Office, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 25th April, 1917, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., main ports, of 4,600 ironbark poles, various sizes.
Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.

Government Offices to be closed on Monday, the 23rd April, 1917, in Celebration of St. George’s Day and St. David’s Day.

AS provided under the Public Service Regulations, the Government Offices throughout New Zealand will be closed on Monday, the 23rd April, 1917, in celebration of St. George’s Day and St. David’s Day.
Anzac Day this year will also be observed on Monday, the 23rd April, 1917, St. George’s Day, instead of on Wednesday, the 25th April, 1917, owing to the municipal elections being fixed by statute for the latter date.

Sale of Unclaimed Property.
IT is hereby notified that the undermentioned unclaimed property in the hands of the police at the stations named will, if not claimed before the 31st March, 1917, be sold thereafter by public auction. Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the officer of police in charge of the station:—

Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Registrar dissolving a Society.
I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Canterbury Athletic and Cycling Club is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land is open for sale or lease to discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 10th May, 1917.
The land may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for sixty-six years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of sixty-six years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Friday, 11th May, 1917, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SECTION 8, Block IV: Area, 550 acres. Capital value, £4,300. Instalment on deferred payment (without interest), £215. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £86.
Altitude, from 350 ft. to 1,100 ft. Open pastoral country, with scattered manuka scrub; fairly well sheltered and grassed; from steep to easy ridges and faces. Good soil, on clay formation, with outcrop of limestone. Distant about nineteen miles from Napier by main Wairoa Road.
