Wanstead Road District.

All that area in the Land District of Hawke's Bay bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the Purimu Stream with the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block XII, Takapau Survey District; thence proceeding north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that section to the Ngahape Stream; thence down that stream to the north-western corner of Block 49, Block V, Motuotaria Survey District; thence south-easterly along the southern boundary of the Waipukurau County (see Statutes, 1907, folio 464) to the Tangatupura Stream; thence south-easterly along the north-east boundaries of Blocks 85, 84, 15, 40, and 71 to the road forming the northern boundary of Lots 9 and 7, Motuotaria Estate; thence westerly along that road to the north-western corner of Lot 7, Motuotaria Estate; thence towards the south along the west boundaries of said Lot 7 and Lot 8, Motuotaria Estate, to the northernmost corner of Eparaima West Block; thence towards the south-west along the north-western boundary of that block to the Tauraekaitai Stream; thence up that stream and the Opokopawa, Mangaongonga, and Purimu Streams to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block XII, Motuotaria Survey District, being the point of commencement.

Mangatarata Road District.

All that area in the Land District of Hawke's Bay bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Block 87, on the Tangatupura Stream, Block VII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence proceeding down that stream to its junction with the Mangatarata Stream; thence down that stream to the northernmost corner of Block 22, Block XVI, Waipukurau Survey District; thence south-easterly in a straight line to Trig. Q; thence south-easterly in a straight line to the north-east corner of Block 12, on the Mangamahaki Stream, Block XIII, Oero Survey District; thence up that stream to its junction with the Mangarouhi Stream; thence up that stream to its junction with the Waiwhero Stream; thence up that stream and along the south-eastern boundaries of Blocks 29 and 47 to the northernmost corner of Block 30, Block XIII, Pourerere Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-east boundary of Lot 11, Motuotaria Estate, to a public road; thence westerly along that road to the south-western boundary of Block 55, Block XII, Motuotaria Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of said block, and Blocks 48, 67, 86, and 87, to the point of commencement.

Tamumu Road District.

All that area in the Land District of Hawke's Bay bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Block 22, on the Mangatarata Stream, Block XVI, Waipukurau Survey District; thence proceeding down that stream to the Tukituki River; thence down that river to the Manga-rara Stream; thence up that stream and the Boundary Stream to the north-west boundary of Block 29, Block XV, Oero Survey District; thence south-easterly along the northern and eastern boundaries generally of Blocks 29, 28, 27, and 26, Block XV, Oero Survey District, and Blocks 25, 24, 33, 36, 37, 38, 39, and 40, Blocks III and IV, Pourerere Survey District, to the sea-coast; thence southerly along the sea-coast to Black Head; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Blocks 3, 2A, 2, 25, 26, 9, and 28 to the northernmost corner of Block 30, Block XIII, Pourerere Survey District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Block 28 to the Waiwhero Stream; thence down that stream to its junction with the Mangarouhi Stream; thence down that stream to its junction with the Mangamahaki Stream; thence down that stream to the north-eastern corner of Block 12, Block XIII, Oero Survey District; thence north-westerly in a straight line to Trig. Q; thence north-westerly in a straight line to the northernmost corner of Block 22, the point of commencement.

Redefining Boundaries of City of Auckland and of the County of Eden.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 16th March, 1917.

Pursuant to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the City of Auckland are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said city having been altered by an Order in Council dated the 29th day of January, 1917, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and published in Gazette No. 17, of the 1st day of February, 1917.

And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Eden, affected by the alteration made by the said Order in Council dated the 29th day of January, 1917, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF AUCKLAND.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-west and north generally by the Waitemata Harbour from Motion's Creek to Cox's Creek; thence by Cox's Creek to and by the north-west side of the road and bridge across that creek; thence by the northern side of Cox's Creek and by Waitemata Harbour to a point on the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 15 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland, as defined in the Schedule of the Proclamation extending the boundaries of the City of Auckland in the New Zealand Gazette No. 85, of the 27th October, 1904, page 2486; thence by right lines 2930, 2274, 2625, 440, 1782, 60, 303, 485, 710, 612, 182, 163, 196, 410, 563, 364, 155, 76, 316, 76, 1490, 240, 137-88, 119-7, 802, 913, 951, 3405-18, and 1261-07 links respectively, and thence by high-water mark of Waitemata Harbour, Hobson Bay, Orake Basin, and Purewa Creek to the western boundary of Section 38A, Parish of Waitemata; thence towards the east generally by that section and the production of its western boundary to the southern side of St. John's College and Tamaki Road, by the southern side of that road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 34 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, and by the eastern boundary of that allotment to the northern boundary of Ellerslie Town District; thence towards the south generally by that town district to the Great South Road, by the north-eastern side of that road to and across Epsom Road, and by the western side of Epsom Road to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 35 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence towards the south generally by the southern boundary of that allotment and its production across the road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 58 of Section 10 aforesaid; thence by the western side of that road to Selwyn Place, by the northern side of the said Selwyn Place to School Road, by the eastern side of School Road to a point in line with the northern side of the road forming the northern boundary of Allotment 79 of Section 10 aforesaid, and thence by the northern side of that road to the boundary of the Borough of Mount Eden; thence by that borough, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 9th August, 1906, page 2132, to Boston Road, and by the south-eastern side of that road to and across Mount Eden Road; by the western side of Mount Eden Road to the easternmost corner of Original Allotment 2 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, and 2F of Section 10 aforesaid to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned allotment, and by the south-western boundary of Allotment 2F aforesaid to Dominion Road (formerly Mount Roskill Road), by the eastern side of that road to its junction with New North Road, across that road to the easternmost corner of Allotment 10 of Section 5, Suburbs of Auckland, and by that allotment to the south-eastern boundary of Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Section 7 aforesaid to a point in line with the western boundary of Allotment 20 of Section 7 aforesaid; thence by a right line to and by that boundary to the Great North Road, and by the southern side of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 17, Section 9, Suburbs of Auckland; across the Great North Road to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 17 aforesaid, by that allotment and Allotment 13 to Motion's Creek, and by that creek to Waitemata Harbour, the place of commencement: excepting the Borough of New-market and the Auckland Domain and Hospital Reserve.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EDEN.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by Waitemata Harbour from the Whau River to the Tamaki River; thence towards the east generally by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to Portage Road; thence towards the south by Portage Road to Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Manukau Harbour to the Borough of Onehunga;
