The Right Reverend Bishop Churchill Julius, D.D., Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, to be Chaplain, 2nd Class. Dated 13th March, 1917.
The Reverend James Joseph McMenamin, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, to be Chaplain, 3rd Class (temp.), whilst employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 1st February, 1917.
The Reverend Thomas Fielden Taylor is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original seniority—viz., Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of 1st June, 1916. Dated 5th April, 1917.

Lieutenant Jack Horneman is appointed Area Officer, No. 1 Group, Auckland Military District. Dated 31st January, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant Owen Gwyn Thomas is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst employed as O.C. Details in Trentham Camp. Dated 8th March, 1917.
Lieutenant Kossuth Skoglund is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., Lieutenant, dated 7th December, 1915, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 6, of 27th January, 1916. Dated 31st March, 1917.
MEMORANDA.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Noel F. Trolove, appointed 18th May, 1916, is struck off the strength of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, with effect from 8th December, 1916.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 139, of 14th December, 1916, “Transfer of Officers on the Unattached List (b), General List, now serving with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force to the New Zealand Rifle Brigade,” delete the undermentioned names:—
