And whereas the Land Board of the Southland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Lot 3 of Section 57, Block I, Mataura Hundred. Bounded towards the north by Matai Road, 699 links; towards the east by a road, 770·9 links; towards the south by Lot 2 of Section 57 aforesaid, 668·6 links; and towards the west by said Lot 2, 766·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/121, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Trustee for the Springston Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

FREDERICK ERNEST MORRISH

to be a trustee, in the place of Richard Morrish, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Springston Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Henry Pannett, Henry Neale, George McBean, Henry Watson Kime, Joseph Watson Kime, and Frederick Hubbard, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Trustees for the Hororata Public Cemetery appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS the trustees of the Hororata Public Cemetery described in the Schedule hereto have tendered their resignations: And whereas it is expedient that the Selwyn County Council should be appointed trustees for the said cemetery:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in me by section fifty-five of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, do hereby appoint the Selwyn County Council to be trustees of the said Hororata Public Cemetery, and to have the control and management thereof.

SCHEDULE.

HORORATA PUBLIC CEMETERY.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being part of rural section numbered 8439, situate in Block XII, Hororata Survey District, commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of the aforesaid section, distance 478·5 links from the south-eastern corner thereof; thence northerly following the said boundary, 1023·8 links; thence westerly at a right angle, 300 links; thence southerly at a right angle, 978·2 links; thence easterly 303·4 links to the commencing-point:

being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 61, folio 243, deposited in the District Land Registry Office at Christchurch.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Regulations for the Administration and Equipment of Camps and Barracks amended.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Regulations for the Administration and Equipment of Camps and Barracks, made on the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the same date; and I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from the date of the publication thereof in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

PARAGRAPH 140 is hereby amended by deleting “30th April and 31st October,” and substituting therefor “31st May and 30th November.”
